LENTEN SEASON 2025
Divine Hospitality—Journeying with Jesus to Create a Welcoming Home for All
We will be journeying with Jesus through his life and ministry, learning and remembering what it means to embody Divine love by becoming a hospitable presence and creating spaces of transformation, healing and welcoming for all. We will be witnessing, listening, growing, and healing, to plant seeds for resurrection and new life for us, our neighbors, and our world.
What is Lent? Lent is the season in the Christian calendar that runs from Ash Wednesday through Palm Sunday. Traditionally, it’s a 40-day fast (Sundays are feast days and not included) meant to bring both the places in our lives in need of healing and transformation and the mercy and love of Christ into intentional focus in our lives. In the early church, Lent was considered a preparation time for those who desired to be baptized where each person practiced self-examination and the study of Scripture individually and in community. The Lenten journey prepares our hearts to honor the depth of Jesus’ love for the whole world offered through his life and ministry until the day of his death on a cross and to celebrate the hope that his resurrection offers to us and the world every day.
Ash Wednesday, 3/5 sanctuary will be open from 12-6pm
From 12pm-1pm, there will be a directed contemplative service journeying through prayer stations that will include Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes.
From 1-6pm, receive the Imposition of Ashes and engage a self-directed journey through the prayer stations.

Our Community’s Inclusiveness Covenant
We are a Christian community of faith, committed to welcoming and affirming all people as children of God. We believe that God calls us to celebrate each person’s uniqueness. In our life together we respect the integrity of each person’s identity, life and culture. We publicly and enthusiastically welcome and affirm people of every age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical and mental ability, economic status, and family structure into the full membership, leadership, ministry and sacramental life of our congregation. We covenant to reach out and support each other in our celebrations, sorrows, spiritual growth and personal ministries, calling forth the gifts of God in each of us. We pray that, guided by the Holy Spirit, we may grow in knowledge, vigilance and sensitivity to become ever more fully the inclusive community of faith that God is calling us to be.
Our Mission is to grow disciples of Jesus by building an inclusive community of faith committed to making a difference in the world.
We invite you to worship, explore, question,
doubt, reflect and grow with us.
