Meditation Group
Meets every second and fourth Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
The meditation group meets in-person and virtually. The group has been active for more than 20 years. The practice is based on Eknath Easwaran’s Eight Point Meditation program, which includes meditation on a spiritual passage and is complemented by seven allied disciplines. The group spends the first hour in lively discussion and concludes with a half hour of silent meditation. You may attend in-person at the church or via Zoom. To participate via Zoom, please email office@pslucc.org to receive a link.
Book Groups
Our congregation hosts book studies three or four times a year, during which time we read and discuss a chosen book. Generally, we meet in-person on Wednesday evenings at the church or at a local park for an hour. Book groups are open, tend to run for six weeks at a time and are led by members of our congregation. Contact us at office@pslucc.org to find out what we’re reading next and when!
Gratitude Project
The Gratitude Project group meets every 4th Tuesday of the month from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Led by Danielle Johnson, this virtual gathering brings us together to practice gratitude, and pray as a community.
To participate, please register by emailing office@pslucc.org
Refugee Ministry
We have a robust, lay-led Refugee Ministry that provides support to refugees in a variety of ways. Currently, in the church building, members of our Refugee Ministry Team offer scheduled periods of respite care for small groups of refugees being housed at Vive. This time away provides people the ability to cook, do laundry, nap, play and enjoy some quiet time.
