About Rev. Nancy Rosas:
Pastor Nancy is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, (UCC). She does her work from a wide pulpit that begins in the parish and goes into the community and vice versa. She has worked for over 25 years as a local and national educator, community leader, writer, speaker, mentor, and as a co-creator of spaces for connection, self-development, advocacy, accompaniment, witness, and transformation with various communities, especially multicultural and interfaith communities in the US and also in Latin America.
Pastor Nancy’s work is intersectional and rooted in love, justice, compassion, intentional relationships, creativity, and joy.
When not working she delights in spending time with her family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, photography, writing, gardening, walking, practicing yoga and meditation.
From Pastor Nancy:
My awareness of God’s call to ministry arises from acknowledging how the God-given gifts in my life, paired with an engagement with my faith and the reality around me, can become the presence of God and good news to all of God’s creation.
I am passionate about facilitating and co-creating intentional, inclusive spaces to encourage the building and growth of a community rooted in and guided by God’s liberating love, where everyone can bring and engage their whole selves to encounter the sacred and each other, and co-create together the Beloved Community of God where the flourishing of life for all creation is encouraged and nurtured every day.
In my life and ministry from a wide pulpit (parish and community), I encourage the connection and engagement of mind, body, and soul through a variety of sources and tools, among others: Sacred scriptures, reflection and questioning, personal and cultural immersion, personal and cultural stories, food, interfaith wisdom and sacred teaching, music, play, drama, poetry, symbols, and rituals. These are always connected with concrete actions for the transformation and healing of our world.
I am committed to co-creating and nurturing an intergenerational community that honors the presence, voice, leadership, and wisdom of everyone; a place where the unique gifts that each member of the community brings is valued and welcome in the making of our life together, building a common vision to embody the good news of God in our own community and in the world.
